- Fans of The Smithereens have the opportunity to help vocalist Pat Dinizio celebrate his birthday this October -- at his house in New Jersey. In a blog post on the band's MySpace page, Dinizio announced that he will be selling tickets to the event, which includes a private concert in his living room and all you can eat and drink, for $100 (reminding readers that Prince charges $3121 for a private concert). The Smithereens are actively touring, BTW, and even have some free shows coming up. The MySpace page and their website have all the details.
