New Mullet on Monday - Spandau Ballet
Wow, just when I think that all the mullets are tapped out, more of them surface.
This week's mullets belonged to nearly all the members of Spandau Ballet. The one holdout was guitarist and primary songwriter Gary Kemp, who seems to have preferred the Q-tip® look.
Spandau Ballet disbanded in 1989, and are said to have made an ill-fated attempt to reunite in 2004. In December, Waist High (via World Entertainment News) and tampabay.com, among other outlets, have reported rumors that the band has accepted a 4 million dollar offer for a one-off gig in Las Vegas.
From the 1984 Album Parade, this is I'll Fly for You.
Post-Spandau Ballet Activities: Brothers Martin (bass) and Gary Kemp have both been working steadily as actors. It would be quite time-consuming to summarize their many activities, so click on their names to link to their Wikipedia articles. Singer Tony Hadley has been involved in musical projects as well as reality TV. Saxophonist/percussionist Steve Norman is now a member of the band Cloudfish. Drummer John Keeble is a member of the Tony Hadley Band.
